Renders of Samsung’s next mid-range smartphone have leaked. The Galaxy A53 is expected to launch with a 64 MP primary camera, a flat design and a 120 Hz display.

Last month, GalaxyClub revealed details about the Galaxy A53, a successor to the Galaxy A52s, itself a minor revision of the Galaxy A52. Now, @OnLeaks and Digit have leaked renders of the Galaxy A53, confirming that it will look a lot like its predecessors.

There are some differences between the Galaxy A53 and the Galaxy A52 family though, such as its smaller camera housing. Reputedly, the Galaxy A53 is 0.3 mm thinner than the Galaxy A52s too, although this thinner chassis comes at the cost of the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Based on previous rumours, the Galaxy A53 will launch with a 120 Hz display, mirroring the Galaxy A52s. Samsung will complement the Super AMOLED panel with a 64 MP primary camera as well, implying that the Galaxy A53 will be another minor revision for the Galaxy A5x series.

It is unclear when Samsung will announce the Galaxy A53. The Galaxy A52s arrived five months after the Galaxy A52 in August, so Samsung may launch the Galaxy A53 in early 2022.
