Data show the fastest 5G smartphone in the U.S. and Canada is Samsung’s new Galaxy S22 Ultra, beating Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max.
According to Ookla Speedtest, a site measuring internet speed, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the fastest in both countries at 116.3-3 megabits per second.
In second place in the United States was Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3, followed by Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Specialists chalk up the Samsung phone’s speed to its X65 5G modem.
That modem is expected to be used in Apple’s next iPhone this fall.
