Samsung launches a smartphone with removable battery, SD card slot in Korea – SamMobile

Samsung has launched a smartphone in South Korea with a removable battery, a microSD card slot, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack. Are you surprised to see such a smartphone from Samsung? Well, the smartphone is none other than the Galaxy Xcover 5 which was launched in international markets last year.

The Galaxy Xcover 5 is a compact and rugged smartphone targeted towards field use. It has a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and an MIL-STD-810H-compliant design for shock resistance. The phone uses the Exynos 850 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

It has a 16MP camera with autofocus on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Xcover 5 can record 1080p videos using its front and rear cameras. Its connectivity features include LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is powered by a 3,000mAh removable battery and supports up to 15W fast charging.

The Galaxy Xcover 5 is priced at KRW 275,000 (around $231) in South Korea, and it is available in two colors: Black and White. Samsung is offering free coupons to e-learning courses with the Xcover 5.
