2021 smartphones such as the Galaxy A12, A52 and A73 are now projected to attain successors with a fairly straightforward naming scheme in the coming year. Now, they are also expected to be uniform in their choices of rear panel finish, too. Then again, they might move on in terms of specs as well.

Samsung’s Galaxy A series is expected to graduate to Ax3 product names in 2022. This has manifested in leaks pointing to appropriately-titled successors to the A12, A52 and A72 thus far. On the other hand, they are also purported to move on in terms of specs, not to mention appearance.

For example, a recent tip has suggested that Galaxy A53 will launch in white, black, pale blue and the much less predictable orange. Now, the blog that made this assertion also now maintains that the Galaxy A13 will also debut in the exact same colors.

Accordingly, it may not be that much of a leap to presume that the same rumor also applies to other variants such as the A73. On the other hand, the A12 is not anywhere near as consistent in terms of finish options in relation to the rest of its own line, not to mention style or level of specs.

Furthermore, this budget option is projected to have 4G/LTE-only as well as 5G variants, whereas Samsung may turn around and drop the former in the A53. On the other hand, a phone that might be the A13 5G has been spotted with the still-worthwhile Dimensity 700 SoC, and to get a 50MP ISOCELL GN1 50MP sensor as a main camera.

Therefore, this entry-level model might get cut into the next generation of the “Awesome” formula worked up for the A52 and A72, even perhaps at the non-5G level. This might make sense, as more consumers may still be looking for the best bargains even after 2021 is in the past.
