Emergent Mobile has filed a patent infringement suit against Samsung Electronics.
Emergent Mobile filed a patent infringement suit against Samsung Electronics on April 8 with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
According to the Texas-based non-practicing entity, Samsung Electronics sold Galaxy Fold, S22 and XCover products to inflict damage on itself as the owner of related patents.
This is the first time that Emergent Mobile filed a suit against Samsung Electronics. Last year, it brought the same smartphone-related suit against LG Electronics.
The three patents currently in question are related to multi-language disaster warning text message transmission and reception, an emergency warning system, and a global navigation satellite system solution. Samsung Electronics said that it would respond after a thorough check.
